    • Guillaume Deffuant, HumanICT Co-Head, Head of the Laboratory of engineering for complex systems (LISC), Cemagref, Clermont-Ferrand

  • The scientific board composed of the scientific direction and of representatives of the teams involved in the project.
  • The research ethics committee (REC). Some projects will involve the gathering of social data, possibly implying invasion of privacy. Under the French law, any such data base has to be authorized by the CNIL (an independent administrative authority protecting privacy and personal data). Beyond that, any research project involving intrusive questioning and/or the collection of confidential personal data will be submitted to the REC for clearance. Without Committee clearance any such investigation should not go ahead with support from FuturICT-France. Moreover, the REC will engage in reflection about the consequences of social ICT systems where individuals can interact online with social informations.
